On December 6, the Michigan Conference executive committee elected Amie Hubbard to serve as the next Family Ministries director.
Amie Hubbard will begin serving in her new capacity beginning January 1, 2023. She is taking the place of Gail Micheff who is transitioning from denominational work to other lines of personal ministry at the end of the year.
Hubbard has been the assistant for the Family Ministries department since July, 2022. Over the past decade, she served in various lines of ministry as a substitute teacher, Bible worker, and cook at Camp Sagola, among other ministry roles.
She is excited to minister to the families throughout Michigan and will be leaning on the Lord from the onset. "I am so very thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord and His families in Michigan and for God's promises for wisdom and guidance," Hubbard states. "It is the prayer of my heart that I will allow God to work through me to bless His people."
Gail has been serving in the Family Ministries department since 2001. She was the associate director from 2001-2006 and the director from 2007. She will certainly be missed by the Michigan family.
“It has been a privilege and blessing serving the families in Michigan,” shares Micheff, “but ministry never stops, and now I’ll be able to shift focus to ministering to my family, neighbors, and it will be nice to spend more time travelling and ministering with Jim [Micheff].” Gail is the wife of the Michigan Conference president.
