Tom Hubbard New Associate Ministerial Director

On April 19, 2022, Tom Hubbard was elected by the Michigan Conference Executive Committee to serve as associate ministerial director of the Michigan Conference. The position was left vacant after elder Daryl Bentley accepted a call to the North Carolina Conference in November of 2021.

Hubbard previously served as District Superintendent and pastored the Wilson and Menominee churches in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (UP) from 2017. Prior to his ministry in the UP, elder Hubbard served as pastor of the Gobles church from 2012-2016. He also ministered as a Bible worker and as associate pastor for the Allegan church in 2011.

Hubbard had the privilege of working alongside pastor Mark Howard as outreach coordinator for Emmanuel Institute from 2010-2015. Looking back on his ministry experience, Hubbard has learned that there is nothing in this world that compares to seeing his churches being used by God to win souls.

“I am looking forward to following the Lord’s leading in this new path as the associate ministerial director and serving our pastoral families in Michigan,” says Hubbard. He thanks the Lord for his wife, Amie, their five children, and two beautiful granddaughters. His broad experience as a husband and father will be helpful as he ministers to pastoral families throughout Michigan.

Michigan Conference president, Jim Micheff, in a recent email to Conference employees welcomed Elder Hubbard to his new ministry post. “We are happy to welcome Tom Hubbard as the new associate ministerial director. Tom and Amie will transition from District 1 superintendent and pastor of Wilson and Menominee churches on June 1.”

“[Hubbard’s] leadership in his churches and at camp meeting has been a great blessing to our conference,” adds Cody Francis, ministerial director for the Michigan Conference. “We know that he will be a blessing in the Ministerial Department [and we] are excited for Pastor Hubbard to use his skills and experience in mentoring, evangelism, and church administration to be a help and support to our pastoral field.”

Let us keep Elder Hubbard and his family in our prayers as they transition to their new field of ministry.
